Welcome to BMovieMonster.com. I’m horror author Mark McLaughlin and this is where I’ll be sharing future thoughts, essays, stories, observations … you name it.
As the domain name indicates, I’ll be talking about B-movies and cinematic monsters quite a lot, since I love ’em. I’ve seen thousands of horror movies over the years, and hopefully what I’ll have to say will turn you on to some great but obscure B-movie gems that you’ll really enjoy.
To fill you in on my background, here’s some information on my books and other writing projects over the years:
My fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have appeared in more than one-thousand magazines, newspapers, websites, and anthologies, including Black Gate, Galaxy, Fangoria, Writer’s Digest, Flesh & Blood, Midnight Premiere, Dark Arts, and two volumes each of The Best of the Rest, The Best of HorrorFind, and The Year’s Best Horror Stories (DAW Books).
I am the author of the novels, Human Doll, The Hell Next Door, and Injectables. Collections of my fiction include Motivational Shrieker, Slime After Slime, and Pickman’s Motel from Delirium Books; At the Foothills of Frenzy (with coauthors Shane Ryan Staley and Brian Knight) from Solitude Publications; and loads more, too many to list! Also, I am the coauthor, with Rain Graves and David Niall Wilson, of The Gossamer Eye, which won the 2002 Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Poetry. I’ve also written many Lovecraftian tales and collections with my best friend and collaborator, Michael Sheehan, Jr.
I am an Active member of the Horror Writers Association. Feel free to befriend me at www.Facebook.com/MarkMcLaughlinMedia.
Talk to you later!
