Ranker at Ranker.com has added me to their list of the best horror authors in the world. On their list of the top 195 horror writers, living or dead, I am listed as No. 104. A near neighbor on the list, No. 106, is Whitley Strieber, best known for his books The Wolfen, The Hunger, and Communion.

I’ve written 70-plus books over the years, and more than a thousand published short stories. My latest novels, The Throne of Nephren-Ka and Labyrinth of the Crawling Chaos, tell the life story of Nyarlathotep, an H.P. Lovecraft character. Lovecraft actively encouraged other authors to write about his characters.
