On the current list of the top 195 horror writers, living or dead, I am now No. 93 (up from 104). So I’ve cracked the top 100 — at least for now. The list changes on a regular basis.

I’ve written 70-plus books over the years, and more than a thousand published short stories. My latest novels, The Throne of Nephren-Ka and Labyrinth of the Crawling Chaos, tell the life story of Nyarlathotep, an H.P. Lovecraft character. Lovecraft actively encouraged other authors to write about his characters.
